did you make him out of paper? my sisters and i tried to, but it never really turned out the way it should...

Yes it's made out of paper. But I've glued the papercraft on a cardboard before cutting. Maybe you should try that? It will make it less fragile.

good idea! thanks! my sisters and i tried using card stock; it worked better, but still not, you know, completely great.

Hmm maybe try finding a thicker card stock? I'm not sure how thick mine is, but it's just enough to make the papercraft stable but it's difficult to just fold the lines, so I had to use a craft knife to go lightly over the foldlines, to make it easier to fold.
